Krest is an established full-service dental laboratory in the East York area of Toronto with a strong reputation for quality aesthetic work built over more than 50 years. We’re investing in recent technology and better processes, and we’re looking for a senior digital leader to help drive that.

The role

This is a senior position that combines hands-on digital design with leadership. You’ll lead our digital department, mentor existing designers, and work with our Production & QA Manager on case flow and quality across the lab. Your work starts at design and continues through to final inspection before a case leaves the building.

What you’ll do

- Design crowns, bridges, implant restorations and full-arch cases in 3Shape, including All-on-4/All-on-X hybrids, long-span bridges, and full-contour and cut-back designs.
- Lead, coach and support our digital designers by setting standards, reviewing their designs, and helping them grow.
- Act as the department’s first line of support for tech support, hardware and software issues.
- Run quality checks during production and complete final QC inspection against our protocol before cases are released (contacts, occlusion, contours, margins, shade).
- Ensure prescriptions,



internal notes and instructions are followed in full.
- Case cycle oversight: case flow, due dates, and potential problems or missed instructions. Flag them before they become remakes.
- Use our lab case tracking system to keep case status current and ensure reporting/data integrity.

What you bring

- 5+ years of 3Shape Dental System design experience in a lab setting
- A portfolio that includes full-arch implant cases and long-span bridges
- Working knowledge of analog processes and production (model work, layering/stacking, finishing), and an understanding of how digital decisions affect the bench and finished products
- QA/QC experience, including checking work in progress and doing final inspection
- An eye for fine detail
- Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to find another solution quickly when something isn’t working
- Experience training or mentoring others, or a real interest in doing it
- Self-motivation, initiative, and collaboration all in the interest of our clients and patients
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)

Assets

Experience with milling, 3D printing, or CAM nesting
Experience with lab management or case tracking software

Compensation

Salary based on experience
