Casual Care Aide – Senior & Specialized Spinal Cord Injury Care

We’re looking for a warm, dependable Care Aide to join our team in a flexible hybrid role. You’ll spend part of your time helping local seniors thrive comfortably in their own homes, and also receive fully paid, comprehensive training to support a client living with a high-level spinal cord injury (SCI) on a ventilator.

What Your Days Will Look Like

Senior Home Support Shifts ($21.00 – $25.00/hr; Work locations: Vancouver)

- 4 to 12 hour day or night shifts
- Provide one-on-one personal care and companionship.
- Assist with safe mobility and transfers
- Help with light meal prep and cleaning, as well as medication reminders

Specialized SCI & Ventilator Support Shifts ($28.00 – $31.00/hr; Work Location: West Vancouver)

- 12-hour day or night shifts
- Work alongside a supportive Nurse (LPN/RN) in a 2:1 care setting.
- Assist with positioning, mechanical transfers, and specialized equipment (like cough assist machines).
- Provide thorough personal care (skin care, catheter care, feeding, and showering).
- Assist the client with power wheelchair outings, meal prep, and keeping equipment tidy and organized.

Although an asset,



you don’t need prior ventilator or tracheostomy experience to join us—just a positive attitude and strong desire to learn about spinal cord injury care! We provide you the following to help you feel confident:

- Comprehensive paid online and 1-on-1 hands-on training shifts.
- Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP) certification for vent and tracheostomy care.
- 24/7 direct guidance and support

What We're Looking For

- Certified Care Aide / Health Care Assistant (HCA) graduate OR Internationally Trained Nurse
- Active registration with the BC Care Aide Registry in good standing (or eligible non-certified welcome for senior care).
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Clear Criminal Record Check (we can help process this for you!).
- Ventilator and tracheostomy experience is an asset
