Job Overview

- We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator to build, modify, and assemble sheet metal components for food and pharma industries
- The ideal candidate combines solid mechanical knowledge with safe, precise work habits and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- This hands-on role involves welding, cutting, forming, machining, and assembly using a range of shop equipment and tools.

Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to determine dimensions, materials, and fabrication steps.
- Measure, mark, cut, form, and fit sheet metal components using calipers, basic math, and precision layout techniques.
- Perform MIG welding and TIG welding; complete other welding tasks as needed to meet project specifications.
- Use plasma cutting equipment, a press brake machine, and other fabrication machinery to shape and prepare materials.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening, and finishing work.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products, including , frames, and related components.
- Support machining, fitting, and finishing tasks while checking completed work for accuracy and quality.
- Move and position materials or assemblies using appropriate equipment,



such as a forklift or crane, when trained and authorized.
- Assist with rigging and material handling in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Maintain an orderly work area and follow shop safety, equipment, and quality requirements.

Experience

- Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or a related trade is preferred.
- Familiarity with MIG and TIG welding, (Stinles steel,aluminium,carbon steel)plasma cutting, press brake operation, and fabrication machinery is an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics, use calipers, and apply basic math to measurements and layouts.
- Practical mechanical knowledge and confidence using hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with welding all kinds of material , assembly, machining, or construction projects is beneficial.
- Forklift, crane, or rigging experience is a plus; equipment must be operated only when properly trained and authorized.
- Must be dependable, attentive to detail, safety-conscious, and able to work collaboratively in a hands-on production environment.

Pay: $18.74-$30.00 per hour
