THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Network Implementation Specialist to lead the technical execution of client projects across infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, Microsoft 365, server, virtualization, and backup environments.

You will turn approved scope and technical designs into stable, secure, production-ready solutions. You will independently lead medium to complex implementations, keep clients and internal teams informed, identify risks early, maintain complete documentation, and provide clean handoffs to ongoing support teams.

This is a delivery role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, leading project work, and helping junior technical resources grow.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Project Delivery

- Lead assigned technical projects from implementation planning through testing, cutover, and operational handoff.
- Coordinate dependencies, access, change windows, client responsibilities, and technical milestones.
- Track progress and escalate risks, delays, scope concerns, or design gaps before they affect delivery.
- Maintain accurate project notes, time entries, task updates, and status information.

Technical Implementation

- Configure, migrate, deploy, troubleshoot, and validate infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, Microsoft 365, server, virtualization, and backup solutions.
- Translate approved designs into stable, secure, and supportable production environments.
- Test completed work and document technical risks, exceptions, or unresolved items.
- Ensure completed solutions are ready for ongoing operational support.

Client Communication and Handoff

- Lead or participate in technical kickoffs, status meetings, and implementation reviews.
- Explain technical decisions, risks, outages, dependencies,



and next steps in clear business language.
- Keep documentation current throughout delivery, including configurations, assets, diagrams, procedures, and technical records.
- Provide a clear handoff to Support, Client Services, and other operational teams.

Technical Leadership and Improvement

- Guide Tier I and Tier II project resources and provide escalation support on complex technical work.
- Review technical work when acting as the senior implementation resource.
- Share lessons learned and contribute to project standards, templates, checklists, and SOPs.
- Identify client improvement opportunities discovered during project delivery and route them to the appropriate internal team.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

- Projects and milestones are delivered within approved scope and expected timelines.
- Completed solutions are stable, secure, tested, documented, and supportable.
- Clients receive explicit, timely communication throughout implementation.
- Risks, dependencies, and scope concerns are identified and escalated early.
- Operational teams receive clean handoffs with minimal avoidable rework or support escalation.
- Junior project resources benefit from your technical guidance and knowledge sharing.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

You should bring strong implementation experience across several of the following areas:

- Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Intune.
- Microsoft Azure and hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
- Firewalls, switching, routing, wireless, segmentation, and network troubleshooting.
- Fortinet networking and security technologies.
- Virtualization, infrastructure modernization, migrations, and system upgrades.
- Backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity controls.
- Technical documentation, system diagrams, asset records, and project handoffs.





You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed. You do need the senior technical judgment, implementation discipline, and learning ability required to independently deliver complex project work.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Five or more years of hands-on experience in systems administration, network implementation, infrastructure projects, or a comparable technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently at a senior Tier III technical level.
- Experience planning and executing technical migrations, deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across server, cloud, network, and application environments.
- Strong organization, documentation, ownership, and follow-through.
- Clear, professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate across project, support, and client-facing teams.
- A valid driver's licence, access to a vehicle, and authorization to work in Canada.

ASSETS

- Microsoft, Cisco, or Fortinet certifications.
- Experience working for an IT Managed Services Provider.
- Experience with PSA, documentation, or project-management platforms.
- Experience mentoring junior technical staff
- Project management education, certification, or practical project leadership experience.
