We’re partnering with a leading aerospace organization to identify an experienced Aircraft Flight Control Systems Lead to join their Chief Engineering team in Mirabel, QC.

In this role, you’ll hold significant technical authority, contributing to the overall aircraft design while ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations, safety standards, environmental requirements, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and drive the end-to-end technical roadmap for integrated flight control systems
Lead the validation and approval of next-generation flight control architectures aligned with product and business objectives
Act as the primary technical interface with the Integrated Flight Control System Product Line
Guide system development from early requirements through Entry-Into-Service (EIS) and beyond




Chair technical governance forums to ensure alignment across multiple engineering disciplines
Lead trade studies and strategic decisions while maintaining program timelines and safety standards
Approve verification & validation (V&V;) strategies at the aircraft level
Authorize key flight test and safety documentation (SOF, RSI, RFT)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
15+ years of experience in Flight Control Systems design or integration
Strong expertise in primary and secondary flight control laws
Proven experience supporting a full aircraft Type Certificate (TC) or major amendment
Demonstrated leadership across cross-functional engineering teams
Ability to influence and present to senior stakeholders
Solid understanding of system development, airframe integration, and certification processes
