If you’re the kind of person who notices what needs to be done and just gets it done, we want to talk to you.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, exceptionally detail-oriented Facilities & Property Maintenance person to take care of a variety of dealership, commercial and residential properties.
This is an important, trusted role.
We need someone who takes real pride in their work, notices the details other people walk past, and understands that maintaining a property properly means staying ahead of problems and not waiting until someone points them out.
One day you might be handling snow removal before the business day starts. The next, you could be moving equipment, taking care of grounds, completing a repair, cleaning up a property, picking up materials or tackling a project at one of our dealership locations or a private residence.
There will be variety, physical work and outdoor work.
If you like that kind of job, keep reading.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Your responsibilities will include a wide range of property, grounds and facilities work, including:
- Snow and ice removal
- Groundskeeping and exterior property maintenance
- General building and facility maintenance
- Minor repairs and handyman work
- Moving furniture, equipment, supplies and other heavy items
- Property cleanup and organization
- Garbage, debris and material removal
- Identifying maintenance issues before they become bigger problems
- Coordinating or assisting with trades and contractors when required
- Picking up materials, supplies or equipment
- Helping with projects at dealership locations
- Assisting with maintenance and property projects at a private residence
- Seasonal property preparation and cleanup
- Responding to changing priorities as they come up
- Taking on other hands-on jobs and projects as required
This is a role for someone who is comfortable hearing, “Can you take care of this?” and figuring out how to get it done properly.
Attention to detail is non-negotiable.
We are looking for someone who sees the crooked sign, the garbage in the corner of the lot, the burned-out light, the ice starting to build up, the damaged trim or the job that wasn't quite finished properly without needing someone else to point it out.
You should be someone who:
- Takes pride in doing a job properly
- Is extremely observant and detail-oriented
- Is dependable and shows up when expected
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Is comfortable working outside in all seasons
- Is physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items
- Doesn't mind getting dirty when the job requires it
- Can prioritize multiple properties and changing requests
- Treats company and personal property with care
- Is respectful, trustworthy and discreet
- Has a practical, common-sense approach to solving problems
- Understands that some days won't follow a perfect job description
We aren't looking for someone who needs to be told every next step.
We are looking for someone who notices, takes ownership and follows through.
The Nature of the Role
This position supports dealership,
commercial and private residential properties, so professionalism and discretion are essential.
The work will vary throughout the year. During an Alberta winter, snow removal and keeping properties protected and accessible will be a major priority. During warmer months, the focus may shift toward grounds, exterior maintenance, repairs, cleanup and projects.
There will also be times when something simply needs to get done — and we're looking for the person we can count on to handle it.
What You'll Need
- Previous facilities, maintenance, construction, property care, handyman or similar hands-on experience is an asset
- Strong practical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Comfort working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to travel between properties as required
- Strong reliability and time management
- High standards for cleanliness, organization and finished work
Compensation
Approximately $50,000 per year, depending on experience and overall fit.
This is a full-time position with an important level of responsibility and trust.
Who Will Do Well Here?
Probably the person who has walked through a parking lot and straightened something that wasn't even theirs.
The person who finishes a project and then steps back to make sure it actually looks finished.
The person who sees snow coming and is already thinking about what needs to happen tomorrow morning.
The person whose response to a problem is:
“I'll take care of it.”
If that sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
