Our client is seeking an entry-level Accountant to join their Calgary team on a long-term contract basis. This role will support day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations within a utilities and infrastructure organization.

Responsibilities:
Process high-volume purchase order and non-purchase order invoices using Sage 50.
Prepare customer invoices for products and services, ensuring billing details are accurate.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and maintain accurate records.
Reconcile corporate credit cards and fleet fuel cards, investigating discrepancies.
Assist with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and accounting adjustments.
Maintain Excel trackers and linked data files using pivot tables and lookup formulas.
Liaise with internal teams to obtain missing billing and payment information.

Requirements:
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.
Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software.
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
Robust attention to detail and ability to manage transaction volumes accurately.
Understanding of accounts receivable aging and payment application.
Experience with bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Proactive approach to resolving discrepancies and obtaining missing information.
Strong communication, organizational,



and technical skills.
