Overview

We are seeking a welcoming, organized Host/Hostess to create a positive first impression for guests and help keep restaurant service running smoothly. This guest-facing role includes greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating with the service team. The ideal candidate brings a warm approach to hospitality, strong customer service, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests promptly and courteously, and assist with seating based on reservations, party size, and table availability.
- Manage reservations and waitlists, providing accurate wait-time estimates and updates.
- Answer guest questions and handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette.
- Communicate seating needs and guest requests to servers, managers, and other team members.
- Help maintain an orderly entrance and dining area, and support a smooth flow of service.




- Use a POS system to support guest transactions or service coordination as needed; familiarity with Micros POS is a plus.
- Respond to guest concerns with patience and professionalism, involving a manager when appropriate.

Experience

- Customer service, guest services, or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Restaurant or food service experience is an asset; experience in serving is also helpful.
- Hotel experience is welcome but not required.
- Robust communication, organization, and phone etiquette are important.
- Comfort learning reservation tools and POS systems is expected; Micros POS experience is a plus.
- A friendly, dependable, team-oriented approach and attention to detail are essential.

Pay: $15.90-$16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
