Job Overview

The ECE Worker supports children’s learning, development, and well-being in a safe, inclusive early childhood setting. The role involves working with children with varied abilities and needs, collaborating with families and colleagues, and helping create a welcoming classroom workplace. Experience in childcare, early childhood education, special education, or working with children or individuals with disabilities is valued.

Duties

- Support children’s daily routines, play, learning, and social development.
- Assist with planning and leading age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom.
- Adapt activities and provide appropriate support for children with diverse abilities and needs.
- Communicate respectfully with children, families, and team members.
- Observe children’s participation and progress, and share relevant information with colleagues.
- Complete classroom records and written updates accurately.
- Use computers and related tools for routine classroom communication and recordkeeping.




- Follow established classroom procedures and collaborate with colleagues to support consistent care and teaching.

Skills

- Strong communication skills, including clear speaking and writing.
- English proficiency required; French and bilingual abilities are valued.
- Childcare, teaching, or early childhood education knowledge or experience is an asset.
- Experience working with children, classroom experience, or experience working with individuals with disabilities is an asset.
- Interest or experience in special education and inclusive learning environments.
- Basic computer skills, including computer operation and routine digital recordkeeping.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Leadership, patience, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Pay: $15.70-$29.28 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
