We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship provides hands-on training in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and related mechanical work, offering a valuable opportunity to develop specialized skills in a dynamic environment. The role involves assisting experienced technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, while gaining practical knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols. Candidates should have a robust interest in mechanical systems, construction, and appliance repair, with a desire to grow into a skilled mechanic. Seeking someone 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Support experienced technicians in performing maintenance tasks on HVAC units.
- Learn to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams related to HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Participate in system inspections to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
- Contribute to the maintenance of tools and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Gain experience in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and other mechanical tasks associated with HVAC systems.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols during work activities.
- Support the team in completing projects on time and according to industry standards.
Experience
- Prior experience or knowledge in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, or construction is required.
- Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with appliance repair or maintenance work is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of schematics and technical drawings is preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills within the HVAC field.

Pay: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
