About Beyond Care Agency
Beyond Care Agency is the client-facing agency brand of Beyond Care Alliance Network Inc., a licensed Ontario temporary help agency specializing in health staffing. THA Licence THA-(phone hidden). We connect qualified healthcare workers, Personal Support Workers, Registered Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and support staff, with hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement residences, home and community care organizations, and families needing care across Hamilton and the surrounding region. We are a lean startup at launch stage: we pay for signed clients, not for time.
The Arrangement
This is a 90-day independent contractor pilot, not employment. You set your own schedule, choose your own methods, and decide how to organize your outreach. There are no fixed workdays, no fixed hours, and no daily supervision. You may do other work, provided it does not compete with the Agency or involve soliciting the Agency's clients. The pilot is a trial for both sides: we learn whether your network produces clients, and you learn whether this work pays well enough to continue. At the end of 90 days, both sides decide whether to renew, change, or end the arrangement.
Your role is simple to describe: introduce Beyond Care Agency in the community and in care facilities, and bring back signed clients.
This arrangement suits someone who already has other income and a real Hamilton network: for example, a semi-retired healthcare or community worker, a well-connected community organizer, or an experienced outreach person between roles. It does not suit someone looking for a steady paycheque.
What You Will Do
- Community client acquisition: Meet families and individuals who need home and community care; explain our services, our rates, and how we work; convert conversations into signed care agreements. Build referral relationships with senior centre staff, faith community leaders, newcomer community leaders, and family caregivers.
- Facility and referral outreach: Approach hospitals, long-term care homes, retirement residences, and home care organizations. The people who actually make and send referrals are your targets: discharge planners, social workers, case managers, care coordinators, and unit or program managers.
- Brand building: Represent Beyond Care Agency visibly and professionally at community fairs, health fairs, and local programs.
- Weekly deliverable: Send a brief written pipeline update once a week listing your visits and meetings, new prospects, follow-ups, and clients in progress. How you produce your results is up to you. Partners who do well in this kind of work typically make 20 or more outreach visits a week, but your time is your own to organize.
What We Provide
- Business cards and outreach flyers with the agency name, services, and contact information.
- A rate card and a one-page service summary, so you can answer price and service questions on the spot.
- A prospect tracking sheet and simple talking points for family and facility conversations.
- Direct access to agency leadership for same-day pricing and service decisions. Final pricing, service commitments, and contracts are approved by the Agency: as a contractor, you introduce and persuade, and the Agency signs.
What You Bring
- Your own business or self-employment setup: you invoice the Agency for commissions earned, and you are responsible for your own taxes and remittances.
- Existing connections in Hamilton's healthcare, seniors, newcomer, or community circles. This arrangement pays for a network, and you must be ready to name yours in your application (see How to Apply).
- Experience in sales, business development, promotions, community outreach, healthcare, or staffing is a strong asset.
- Excellent people skills; comfortable approaching strangers, speaking to groups, and closing.
- A valid Ontario G driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle. You provide your own vehicle, phone, and computer, and you cover your own expenses. Nothing is reimbursed unless agreed in writing before the cost is incurred.
- Skilled handling of personal information: families will share sensitive circumstances with you. Anything you learn goes directly to the Agency and nowhere else, under a signed confidentiality agreement.
Commission (the only pay)
Paid per signed client, in retention milestones, after the Agency has received the client's payment that triggers the milestone:
- Private/family clients: $300 on signed care agreement + first paid invoice, $300 when the client is still active at 30 days, $300 at 90 days active = $900 per client
- Facility clients (hospital, LTC, retirement, home-care organization): $600 on signed service agreement + first work order, $400 when the facility reaches $5,000 in cumulative billings, $500 at 90 days active = $1,500 per facility
- "Active" means the client generated at least one paid invoice or shift in the preceding 30 days. A client who cancels within 14 days of signing does not earn the signing milestone. A client counts as yours if you introduced them and the introduction was recorded before signing.
- Milestones are paid as each stage is reached, so clients signed early start paying within the first month. Add one facility client and the pilot pays for itself several times over. Sign nobody, and you earn nothing. That is the honest trade in a commission-only arrangement, and it is why this pilot is for someone with other income.
- Full terms are set out in the written Contractor Commission Schedule provided before you start. Commissions are paid on invoiced milestones, generally within 15 days of your invoice once the milestone is verified.
Pilot Terms
- 90-day pilot from the start date in the written contractor agreement.
- Either side may end the pilot at any time on 7 days' written notice. Clients you signed before the end date still earn their milestones on the normal schedule, for up to 90 days from their signing date, if the retention conditions are met.
- During the arrangement and for 6 months after it ends, you will not solicit the Agency's clients for competing staffing services.
- This posting describes an independent contractor arrangement. The written agreement governs if there is any difference. Both sides intend a genuine contractor relationship: your independence in schedule and method is real, not a label.
