Job Overview

- The Estimator/Shop Supervisor estimates collision repair damage and assists with body shop operations, helping ensure repairs are accurately priced, properly planned, and completed safely and efficiently.
- This hands-on role works with ICBC, Private Insurance companies, vendors, and shop personnel to prepare estimates, review production, coordinate materials and schedules, and support work through completion.
- The position is suited to someone who combines strong collision repair knowledge with organization, communication, and practical problem-solving skills.

Duties

- Create repair estimates to determine labor, materials and other repair requirements.
- Request and evaluate vendor quotes; verify parts, pricing and availability for accuracy.
- Work together to schedule vehicle repairs
- Handoff work to the shop technicians.
- Coordinate shop workflow, priorities, materials, and schedules to help meet repair deadlines.
- Monitor work progress, identify potential cost or schedule issues, and communicate updates to relevant team members.
- Maintain organized estimating and shop records




- Apply project management practices to balance competing priorities and keep work moving.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers; use negotiation skills to clarify scope and resolve issues, when present.
- Promote safe work practices and help maintain an orderly, productive shop setting.

Experience

- Minimum 3 yrs collision repair estimating experience, 2 years repair production management and hold a Red Seal Certification in the automotive trade
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence discussing pricing and applying sound negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both office and shop teams and adapt as repair needs change.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
