We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to support our busy restaurant environment. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen operation. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, dishwashing, and overall kitchen cleanliness to ensure a smooth dining experience for our guests. Prior food service or restaurant experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for the food industry.
Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff.
- Support food service operations by organizing supplies and ensuring the kitchen remains tidy throughout shifts.
- Help with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision.
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Ensure the kitchen area is clean, sanitized, and organized at the end of each shift.
- Support the serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables or assisting with basic customer needs when appropriate.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or food industry roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of food products.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Solid teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations.
- Basic cooking skills or experience with meal preparation is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
