Hoemsen Insurance Inc. - Co-operators is looking for a Financial Services Associate to joint our Regina office. Previous financial services experience is not require. We're looking for the right person: someone who communicates well, learn quickly, takes initiative and enjoys working with people.

Initially, this role will include a mix of client service, administrative support, meeting preparation, follow-up and learning our insurance and investment business. As your knowledge and confidence grow, so will the role.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete industry licensing, participate in client meetings, develop their own client relationships and gradually take on more responsibility. For the right person, this position can develop into a client-facing advisory role with additional performance-based earning opportunities.

What you'll do

- Provide administrative and client service support to our team
- Communicate with clients by phone, email and in person
- Prepare for client meetings and assist with follow-up
- Help keep client files, applications and opportunities organized and moving forward
- Learn the life insurance and investment business from the ground up
- Complete the required industry education and licensing
- Gradually take on more responsibility for client relationships and business opportunities as your experience grows

- Confident and professional communication with clients by phone, email or in person
- An interest in developing a career in financial services
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, banking, insurance, sales or financial services would be an asset, but is not required
- A business, commerce or finance background would be an asset, but is not required

We're looking for someone who wants the opportunity to grow beyond a traditional administrative or customer service position.

As you develop your knowledge, licensing and confidence, you'll have the opportunity to become increasingly involved with clients. This can include identifying client needs, booking and participating in appointments, developing recommendations and eventually generating and managing business of your own.

You don't need previous sales experience. You do need to be comfortable talking to people, taking initiative and growing into a role where your performance can direclty increase your income.

Compensation

Starting salary of $50,000/year, with opportunities for additional performance- based compensation as you become licensed and begin generating business.

This position is intended to develop into significantly more than an entry-level role. Someone who demonstrates the ability and drive to build client relationships and generate business will have the opportunity to grow their responsibilities and compensation accordingly.
