Panacea Dental in Waterdown is hiring a Level II Dental Assistant to join our friendly, patient-first team. We're a modern, full-service practice seeing patients of all ages from Waterdown, Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville, with family, cosmetic, restorative, implant and orthodontic care (Invisalign and braces) under one roof. A full-time position is available, and we'd like someone to start as soon as possible.

Pay: $26 - $30 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Weekdays plus some Saturdays (clinic hours Mon-Fri 10 am - 7 pm, Sat 10 am - 3 pm)

What you'll do:

- Assist the dentist chairside with general, restorative, cosmetic, implant and orthodontic procedures

- Prepare and turn over operatories, and set up instruments and materials for each procedure

- Clean and sterilize instruments following IPAC and RCDSO standards

- Take and process digital X-rays

- Perform Level II intra-oral duties as directed by the dentist (e.g. rubber dam, coronal polishing, fluoride, sealants, impressions, oral hygiene instruction)

- Help patients feel at ease and give post-operative instructions





- Keep charting and patient records accurate and confidential

- Help with same-day emergency appointments and support the front desk when needed

What you need:

- Level II dental assisting diploma or certificate and a current NDAEB certificate

- HARP certification

- Current CPR/BLS

- Friendly, clear communication with patients of all ages, including anxious patients

- Reliable, organized and a good team player

- Available weekdays and some Saturdays

Nice to have:

- Chairside dental assisting experience

- Orthodontic or restorative supplemental courses

- Experience with digital dentistry (intra-oral scanners, digital X-ray)

- Experience with insurance, direct billing and CDCP claims

- Additional languages
