The Venetian Blind Service Centre has been serving Vancouver since 1952. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our shop team, manufacturing and repairing 1″ Venetian blinds.

If you’re handy, comfortable using tools, and quick to pick up new skills, we’d like to hear from you. Previous blind experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

- Manufacture and assemble new 1″ Venetian blinds to work order specifications.
- Repair existing blinds, including replacing cords, slats, and operating components.
- Use hand tools and take accurate measurements.
- Check completed blinds for correct measurements, appearance, and proper operation.
- Keep tools, materials, and the work area tidy and organized.

What we’re looking for

- Good practical skills and confidence using hand tools.
- The ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
- Attention to detail and patience when working with small parts.




- The ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- An interest in figuring out how things work and making repairs.
- Reliability, punctuality, and good organization.
- The ability to work independently once trained and work well with others.

Experience in assembly, manufacturing, repairs, or other hands-on work would be helpful, but previous blind experience is not required.

Job type: Full time
Hours: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Location: Vancouver — in person
Compensation: Based on experience
