About Us

Turf Training Centre is a busy, multi-location sports facility offering turf rentals, room rentals, gym rentals, and office spaces. We are looking for reliable, energetic, and proactive Facility Attendants / Front Desk Staff to join our team at our Edmonton and Nisku locations.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position combining facility operations, customer service, front desk support, and cleaning.

Facility Attendants help keep TTC clean, safe, organized, and running smoothly while also assisting customers with general inquiries, schedules, bookings, and front desk needs. The formal role includes facility upkeep, customer supervision, equipment setup and teardown, as well as light administrative/front desk duties.

This is a part time, seasonal, on-site position. It is not a Monday-to-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM role.

Typical staffing hours include:

- Weekday evenings: approximately 5:00 PM–12:00 AM
- Weekends: various shifts scheduled between 6:30 AM and 12:00 AM
- Some statutory holiday availability may be required

We are ideally looking for someone who enjoys sports, is comfortable working independently, and is looking for flexible work alongside university, college, or other commitments.

Responsibilities

- Open and close the facility following TTC procedures




- Conduct regular facility walk-throughs
- Keep washrooms, lobby areas, fields, change rooms, and shared spaces clean and safe
- Set up, take down, and organize nets and equipment
- Monitor teams, spectators, and general facility access
- Enforce TTC rules and address basic customer concerns professionally
- Assist customers at the front desk
- Answer phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
- Assist with one-off bookings and check field schedules
- Complete daily checklists and end-of-shift reports
- Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, and safety concerns
- Assist with seasonal duties such as snow clearing when required

- Comfortable working in a busy sports facility
- Comfortable with cleaning and light facility maintenance
- Able to take initiative and notice when something needs attention
- Comfortable following procedures, checklists, and instructions

Experience in customer service, front desk work, recreation, sports facilities, cleaning, or general facility operations is an asset but not required.

Applicants must be available to work at both locations.

Pay

$17.00 per hour

Training Provided

Training will be provided on TTC facility procedures, opening and closing protocols, cleaning standards, customer service expectations, safety procedures, equipment setup, booking systems, and front desk procedures.
