We are looking for an ambitious 3rd Year - Journeyman Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at our Acheson shop. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative, planned, and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls on heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and vacuum systems, as well as perform diagnostics.
- Assist with mechanical repairs both in the shop and during road calls as required.
- Perform welding tasks on equipment when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records and reports.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure it’s functioning properly.
- Continuously strive to improve operations and minimize downtime.
- Work safely and adhere to all workplace safety policies and regulations.
- Work on a fleet of medium-duty trucks (Peterbilt, Kenworth, Mack) and light-duty Dodge 5500s.
- Be available for on-call scheduling, weekend work, work remotely in other depots as required, and emergency road calls as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

- Current Apprenticeship: 3rd Year - Journeyman in Heavy Duty Mechanic program (Red Seal path).
- Experience: Some experience with diagnostic programs for Paccar and Cummins engines, understanding of equipment and vehicle wiring diagnostics,



knowledge of vehicle and equipment hydraulic and vacuum systems are an asset.
- Skills: Ability to troubleshoot electrical, vacuum, and hydraulic issues. Welding experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Capable of reading and maintaining work orders and reports. Ability to confidently work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical Demands: The position is active, requiring physical fitness and stamina.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license; Class 3 is an asset, and a clean 5-10 year driver's abstract.
- Safety: Abide by company policies and processes while maintaining a safe work environment.
