Journeyman Electrician

We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team at our Nisku manufacturing facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, shop drawings and specifications to determine project layouts, dimensions and required materials
- Bend and install electrical metallic tubing (EMT) conduit
- Prepare and pre-assemble device boxes, exterior electrical devices, panels and lighting fixtures
- Measure, cut, mark and install blocking as required
- Measure, mark and cut openings for electrical boxes, fixtures and fans
- Lay out and install device boxes and octagon boxes
- Drill holes in walls, ceilings and floors to accommodate electrical wiring and components
- Pull and route wiring through roof joists, walls, floors and conduit
- Install, inspect, replace and repair electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, feeders, coaxial cables, fire alarm cables and distribution panels
- Splice, join and connect wiring to fixtures and components to complete electrical circuits
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice electricians as required




- Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

- Registered Journeyman Electrician certification required
- EMT conduit bending and installation experience required
- Previous experience in residential and/or commercial construction required
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to lead by example
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and sketches
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools and materials required for the trade
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable working indoors and in confined workspaces
- Fall Arrest certification is considered an asset
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing and verbal communication
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute daily to Nisku

Work Location: Nisku, Alberta

All employees are based at our Nisku facility and must be able to commute daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
