Overview
We are seeking a Physician who is registered with CPSA join our team at Millet Medical Clinic. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and in collaboratively with all team members, as well as have strong leadership skills and communication skills. We are looking for someone who wishes to have a flexible work schedule as well as stability of a family medical practice.

Millet Is a small town located on highway 2A, 15 minutes south of Leduc, and 10 minutes north of Wetaskiwin. Millet is a beautiful little town with a population of a around 1,300 people, plus rural surrounding areas. There is a family run grocery store, post office, town hall, school for grade k-8, daycare options, and several amazing restaurants close to the clinic. Millet may be a small town, but it has lots of great energy and some of the friendliest people you will ever know. Millet has a great sense of community.

Duties

- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe medications or treatments as required per case bases.
- Collaborate with fellow staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Telus CHR or similar electronic health record systems.




- Stay updated on the latest medical research and advancements to provide evidence-based care.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, preventive care, and medication administration.
- Follow CPSA guidelines for community clinic standards.
- Work closely with the Pharmacy team, and front end staff, and 1-2 other health care professionals.
- Maintain a patient load minimum of 500.

Qualifications

- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in the Alberta.
- Experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, acute care, or ER is an asset.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and research in the medical field.

Pay: $201,012.00-$504,000.00 per year
