SUMMARY

The Plumbing Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily service operations by scheduling technicians, communicating with customers, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the department. This role serves as the central communication hub between customers, field technicians, and management, helping to maintain high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

MAIN DUTIES

- Schedule, dispatch, and adjust Plumbers to customer locations based on priority, skillset, and proximity.




- Answer inbound service calls and respond to customer inquiries.
- Provide customers with appointment times, updates, and follow-ups as needed.
- Create and update service orders in the field management software.
- Collaborate with technicians to adjust schedules when emergencies arise.
- Support billing by ensuring accurate documentation and job closeout details.
- Monitor technician availability, job progress, and workload throughout the day.
- Optimize routes to reduce drive time and increase productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Prior dispatching or call center experience.
- Understanding of basic plumbing terminology and service types.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with scheduling/dispatching software
- Solid organizational and time‑management skills.
