Heavy Duty Mechanic / Technician - Field Service (JCB Heavy Line)

Job Summary

LiftBoss is a Canadian-owned and operated company founded in 2006, with locations in Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge. We are a busy full-service heavy construction equipment and forklift dealer, specializing in the sale, rental, and service of JCB construction equipment and material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain JCB construction equipment in a field environment :

- Diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions using computerized and manual diagnostic tools :

- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulics, brake systems, and electrical components :

- Test repaired equipment to confirm proper operation and performance in the field :

- Complete required technical documentation, including service reports and warranty reports :

- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation :

- Respond to customer service needs in a professional, timely, and supportive manner :

- Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls as required :

- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and safety policies :

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle, tools, and equipment :

- Communicate clearly with supervisors, dispatch, and customers

Qualifications & Experience





- Red Seal / Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician certification (preferred) :

- Minimum 3-4 years of heavy-duty mechanical experience :

- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills :

- Experience with diesel, hydraulics, and electrical systems. :

- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic software (e.g., ServiceMaster, Jaltest) is an asset :

- JCB or heavy construction equipment experience is an asset :

- Self-motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision :

- Strong customer service and communication skills :

- Must have own tools :

- Clean and valid Class 5 driver’s license and driver’s abstract :

- Physically capable of lifting heavy components and working in demanding field conditions

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
