Description : Halton & Mississauga Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic and its parallel clinical service, NextWave TMS, based in Central Mississauga, are seeking a highly motivated, professional, and high-achieving university science graduate for a full-time internship position beginning in May 2026.

This role is ideal for students considering future careers in medicine, healthcare (including physician assistant studies, nursing), psychology, neuroscience, research, basic science, or other health-related fields. It offers valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, professional development, and the opportunity to earn a strong reference letter based on performance.

This is a diverse, hands-on position that offers exposure to both the clinical and administrative sides of healthcare. The successful intern will have the opportunity to support clinic operations, assist with research activities, and gain experience related to TMS treatment workflows and multidisciplinary patient care.

Responsibilities may include :

- Supporting day-to-day administrative and operational tasks within the clinic
- Assisting with patient flow, organization, scheduling, and coordination
- Providing general support to the clinical team in a professional and respectful manner
- Assisting with research, data organization, chart review support, and academic projects, as appropriate
- Gaining exposure to TMS treatment processes and the TMS technician role
- Helping maintain a well-organized, effective, and welcoming clinic environment
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team involved in addiction and mental health care
- A highly qualified university graduate (undergraduate or graduate degree) who is able to commit to a minimum 15-month full-time position (i.e. until August 2027)




- Consideration will be given to a university student who has completed three full years of study and is interested in this 15-month internship experience prior to completing their undergraduate degree
- Interested in healthcare, addiction medicine, mental health, neuromodulation and research
- Professional, dependable, mature, and detail-oriented
- Eager to learn and comfortable taking initiative
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong in communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Respectful, compassionate, and comfortable working with diverse patient populations

Previous healthcare, volunteer, research, or administrative experience is an asset, but not required.
