Join the Legacy — Take your next step at Red Wing Shoes We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and customer-driven Retail Store Manager to lead operations at our newest Red Wing Shoe store and drive business growth. You will combine hands-on leadership, outstanding customer service, and operational excellence to deliver an exceptional consumer experience, working with our product experts and trusted advisors to serve both walk-in customers and industrial accounts. This role offers an opportunity to oversee daily store operations, manage a team, implement strategies to enhance sales performance and operational efficiency, and support business expansion and digital presence.

What You’ll Do

- Ensure a welcoming environment, delivering a professional, engaging shopping experience.
- Oversee all store operations, including sales leadership, team mentoring, merchandising, inventory management, and daily upkeep like boot repairs and POS handling, while ensuring the highest standards of product knowledge and outstanding service standards.
- Manage expenses, labour and inventory budgets, working to ensure profitability.
- Learn and promote Red Wing’s full line, including safety, outdoor and fashion footwear and accessories.
- Support the execution of industrial calls, tailored in-store visits and off-site activations to expand and support business relationships.
- Communicate promotions, product benefits, and features clearly to boost sales.
- Manage daily operations, including organization, merchandising, and cleanliness.
- Lead local social media and marketing efforts using Canva, Excel, and in-store systems: supporting the creation and activation of local content to promote products and programs to increase foot traffic and online engagement.




- Provide courteous support for phone and online inquiries.

What You Bring

- 3-5 years of retail sales experience (footwear or industrial sales preferred), including 2+ years in leadership or assistant management.
- Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills.
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office, Canva, and POS systems
- Proven skills in business development (e.g., industrial sales growth) and social media/digital marketing.
- Understanding of safety footwear and/or outdoor sporting, angling, and outdoorsmanship footwear is a strong asset.
- Organized, adaptable, and comfortable working independently.
- Bilingual ability (English + other language) is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for off-site visits.
- Willingness to take on physical day-to-day store tasks, including but not limited to lifting up to 20kgs and climbing stockroom ladders.
