The Opportunity : How you will contribute :

- Conduct AML reviews and investigations related to commercial mortgage transactions.
- Analyze data and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Perform screening of potential matches against Canadian and international sanctions lists and evaluate any positive hits in accordance with AML policies and procedures.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and escalate findings as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
- Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal compliance initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Required Skills and Attributes :

- Basic understanding of the mortgage industry, with preference for commercial mortgages.
- Foundational knowledge of AML principles; prior AML experience is an asset.




- Strong analytical thinking and resourcefulness.
- Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and resolve problems efficiently.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
- Active listening and ability to convey ideas effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and maintain a respectful, cooperative attitude.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Genuine interest in AML required; previous AML experience is an asset
- Able to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, structured team environment while also working independently when required
- Familiarity with commercial mortgage products and processes is an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis :

- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)
