Role Environment: On-site 4x/week in Toronto, ONTarget Annual Compensation with Bonus = $156,000-$180,000/yrJob DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a Financial Controller to join our client in the hospitality space on a full-time, permanent basis. The Financial Controller will lead day‑to‑day financial operations, reporting accuracy, and internal controls across the company's rapidly scaling hospitality platform, which spans short‑term rentals, property management, boutique hotels, and multiple legal entities across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This role serves as the financial execution lead, responsible for transforming complex operational activity into explicit, reliable financial intelligence for leadership, lenders, and investors.
On a daily basis, the Controller will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all entities, ensuring accurate, timely financial statements and disciplined reporting cadence. A core focus of the role is delivering consistent property‑level profitability reporting, providing leadership with visibility into asset‑level performance rather than portfolio‑only views. The Controller will maintain clean, audit‑ready books, oversee accounting operations including payroll and contractor payments, and provide leadership with weekly cash visibility and forward‑looking financial insight.
This role will work closely with IT and Technology partners to automate and streamline accounting systems, improve workflows,



and scale financial infrastructure in line with company growth. The Controller will also identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities, support financing and hotel expansion initiatives, and prepare financial materials for lenders, investors, and hotel partners. In addition, the Controller will lead and develop junior finance staff while building a scalable finance function capable of supporting institutional‑grade operations.
