Fujiya (fujiya.ca) is a Japanese specialty foods business that has been in operation for 50 years. Since opening the first store in Vancouver, we have grown to 4 locations in BC: Strathcona (Clark Drive), Downtown Vancouver, Richmond and Victoria.

Our Kitchen at the Clark Drive location is our Central Kitchen for all Lower Mainland Fujiya stores and catering. As a Kitchen Helper (Evening Shift), you will support with making both plain and sushi rice for use in many of our items. You will also help with some prep and packing of takeout foods. No previous cooking experience necessary.

Schedule: Part time, 3 days/week including Friday and Saturday plus one weekday. Shift times either 4:00-10:30 PM, 5:00-11:30PM, or 6:00PM-12:30AM.

Duties

- Rinsing and cooking rice
- Making sushi rice
- Organizing rice and completing checklists
- Ensure quality of rice is consistent and up to standard




- Assist with food preparation
- Assist with packing takeout foods
- Follow Foodsafe procedures
- Follow cleaning, receiving and inventory policies and procedures
- Follow all other kitchen policies and procedures
- Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment
