Financial Controller
( Full-time, Permanent ).
The position:The Financial Controller is a key member of the senior management team and a strategic business partner. This role oversees all accounting and information management functions, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the company’s financial reporting systems.
What you will do:
Maintain robust accounting records;

implement internal controls and budgeting processes;

ensure compliancewith GAAP;

deliver timely, insightful management reporting.
Direct accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
Oversee payroll management, including salary/benefits/deductions compliance;

collaborate with HR;
reconcile payroll accounts;

implement best practices for payroll reporting and controls.
Recommend and implement improvements to financial reporting accuracy and effectiveness.
Manage relationships with external third-party advisors (auditors, technology consultants, ERP advisors).
Oversee financial systems implementations and upgrades.
Lead cashflow forecasting and liquidity management;





align forecasts with business objectives and financial targets.
Stay current on regulations, accounting standards, and cashflow best practices;

implement processimprovements (budgeting, forecasting, cost control, decision support) to improve profitability and cash flow.
Manage and grow the Accounting team through coaching and performance management.
Approve, monitor, and control company expenditures;

manage allocations aligned with business priorities.
Oversee HR administration (records, onboarding/offboarding, compliance).
Oversee day-to-day office operations.

What you bring to the position:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
5+ years of experience in accounting
3+ years of experience in financial management
Expertise in MS Office, QBO, and ERP database systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong business acumen and reliabilityPayroll & HR experience
What we offer:
Salary range: CA$90,000 - $120,000 per year
