We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Pharmacy Assistant for a travel contract role supporting acute care hospitals in Prince Rupert and Terrace, British Columbia . In this position, you will assist pharmacy operations, support medication preparation and distribution, and collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

? Qualifications

✔ Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Assistant from an accredited program

✔ Previous experience in a hospital or acute care pharmacy setting preferred

✔ Experience with Cerner and/or WinRx pharmacy systems is strongly preferred

✔ Certification or training in Hazardous and Sterile Compounding/Processing is an asset

✔ Strong knowledge of medication safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards

✔ Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills

✔ Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced healthcare setting

Key Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of medications
- Accurately label, store,



and handle medications in compliance with safety standards
- Support sterile and hazardous medication processing as required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within pharmacy information systems
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care workflows
- Perform inventory management and pharmacy‑related administrative duties

Position Details

- Locations: Prince Rupert & Terrace, British Columbia (Acute Care Hospitals)
- Contract Duration: ASAP – September 30 (with option to extend)
- Schedule: 80 hours bi‑weekly , shifts scheduled as per facility needs
- Pay Range: $30–$36 per hour
