Description

In line with our values of collaboration and integrity, we are seeking a positive and energetic financial controller to contribute to the success of our organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Controller plays a key role in the organization’s financial management. He or she contributes to the reliability of financial information, the optimization of processes, and the rigorous monitoring of projects.

â¯Responsibilities/Challenges:

- Responsible for day-to-day accounting activities (month-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries);

-

- Validate terms and conditions of revenue contracts;





set up revenue contracts and financial projects in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system;

coordinate invoicing;
prepare claims forgovernment contracts;

-

- Ensure the preparation of financial statements and management reports;

-

- Participate in budget development and budget monitoring;

-

- Ensure financial monitoring of projects (revenue, costs, margins);

-

- Manage and optimize project-based accounting processes;

-

- Collaborate with internal teams to monitor various funding sources;

-

- Ensure the completion of financial audits and regulatory compliance;

-

- Ensure the application of and compliance with current accounting standards;

-

- Manage commercial insurance;

-

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions;

-

- Produce financial analyses to support strategic decision-making;

-

- Implement and improve internal controls;

-

- Support the finance team in all projects;

Qualifications:

-

- â¯Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field;

-

- At least 7 years of experience;

-

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation;

-

- Experience in project-based financial management or in a multi-funding environment (strong asset);
