Rate: $78/hr - $83/hr

We are seeking a Construction Coordinator (E&I;) for a long‑term (2+ years) on‑site assignment supporting a large industrial capital project in Edmonton, Alberta , starting April 2026 . This role represents the owner (or owner’s representative) and is responsible for coordinating Electrical & Instrumentation construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and handover to Operations . The successful candidate will oversee EPC contractors and subcontractors, ensuring protected, compliant, and schedule‑aligned execution. Day and night shift candidates will be considered.

Must Haves

- 15+ years of progressive Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) experience
- Demonstrated owner‑side or owner’s representative project experience
- Career progression through Journeyman/Technician → Foreman/Lead → E&I; or Construction Coordinator
- Experience on large industrial projects ($50MM to multi‑billion‑dollar scopes)
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Electrical power distribution (LV, MV, HV )




- Instrumentation and controls
- DCS / SIS systems , including loop checks and C&E; testing
- Hands‑on experience with pre‑commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover to Operations
- Proven ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, commissioning, vendors, and operations
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, schedule integration, and constraint/risk management
- Demonstrated safety leadership in high‑risk E&I; construction environments

Plusses

- Experience with substations, EHT, temporary power, and shutdowns/turnarounds
- Exposure to Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) or structured workface planning
- Strong field credibility with the ability to direct and challenge contractors
- Practical, solutions‑oriented mindset with real‑time problem‑solving capability
- Experience mentoring junior staff and supporting team development
- Clear and effective communicator with project leadership and operations
