Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with solid experience in system design, technical documentation, and agile tools like Jira.



The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining mainframe applications while ensuring high‑quality design standards and comprehensive documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation (design documents, process flows, runbooks, etc.)
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
Work closely with cross‑functional teams including QA, business analysts, and stakeholders
Use Jira for tracking user stories, defects, and sprint progress
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution
Support batch processing, job scheduling, and performance tuning
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards
Required Skills:
Strong hands‑on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS
Good understanding of mainframe architecture and batch/online processing
Experience in system design and solutioning
Proficiency in technical documentation and diagramming tools (e.G., Visio, Confluence)
Hands‑on experience with Jira and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
