Location: Remote (Canada) | Type: Full-time, Permanent | Reports to: Practice Lead, PartnerAbout Mission Impact PartnersMission Impact Partners is an AI Frontier Company specializing in Microsoft Power Platform. We rescue failed implementations, rebuild foundations, and enable organizations to unlock AI-driven productivity. Our proprietary data migration and integration products transform complex projects into seamless solutions.
We are a small, growing company with big ambitions. Every person on the team has a direct impact on what we build, how we deliver, and where the business goes next. If you want to work somewhere your contributions are visible and your voice carries weight, this is the place.
Data AnalystAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Data Analyst who understands that data is the foundation of every implementation we deliver. Migrations fail and integrations break when data is misunderstood, poorly mapped, or inadequately validated. This role exists to make sure that never happens on our watch.
As Data Analyst, you will be embedded in project delivery from discovery through go-live, owning the data layer across our client engagements. You will analyse source systems, produce detailed data mapping documents, author integration specifications, and ensure data quality at every stage of the project lifecycle. You will work directly with clients — facilitating workshops, presenting findings, and translating technical complexity into business language.
This is a hands‑on role for someone with real experience in data migration and integration across CRM platforms. You will need strong SQL skills, experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric,
and a working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform or an equivalent relational SaaS CRM system such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Dynamics 365. We are not looking for someone who needs to learn what a data mapping document is;
we are looking for someone who has written dozens of them and knows why precision matters.
What You’ll DoAnalyse, map, and validate data across client engagements
Analyse source system data structures, schemas, and relationships across Dynamics 365, Salesforce, legacy CRMs, and other platforms to build a comprehensive understanding of each client’s data landscape
Produce detailed field‑level data mapping documents with transformation rules, lookup resolution logic, default values, and data type conversions
Conduct data quality assessments on source extracts to surface gaps, duplicates, orphaned records, and anomalies before migration — not after
Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, profile, and validate data across source and target systems throughout the migration lifecycle
Define data validation criteria and acceptance testing procedures so that client sign‑off is objective, not subjective
Author integration specifications and collaborate on solution design
Author integration specification documents that define data flows, transformation logic, error handling, and scheduling requirements for each integration point
Map API endpoints, authentication flows,
and payload structures for third‑party systems involved in integration workstreams
Collaborate with the Development Lead to ensure integration designs are technically feasible and aligned with MIP’s architecture standards
Build analytical models and reporting that support delivery and client decision‑making
Build Power BI dashboards for migration tracking, data quality metrics, and post‑migration health reporting
Leverage Microsoft Fabric capabilities — including lakehouses, dataflows, and notebooks — where they add value to migration and integration workstreams
Stay current with ETL tooling and feed insights back to the team
Maintain a working knowledge of ETL and data integration tools across the Power Platform and Salesforce ecosystems — including Azure Data Factory, KingswaySoft, Scribe Online, CData, DBSync, MuleSoft, and MIP’s own Data Mission suite
Evaluate emerging tools and platform updates that could improve delivery, and bring recommendations to the leadership team
Provide real‑world usage feedback on Data Mission: Sync and Data Mission: ETL based on project experience to shape the product roadmap
Work directly with clients and contribute to business growth
Facilitate data discovery workshops with client stakeholders to extract undocumented business rules, data dependencies, and migration priorities
Present data quality findings, mapping proposals, and migration strategies to client stakeholders in transparent, non‑technical language
Act as the primary point of contact for data‑related questions during active engagements
Contribute data migration and integration effort estim
