Reporting to the Vice President of Contracts, as the Senior Estimator you will play a key role in the low -rise and mid -rise estimating team. You will be responsible for all estimating and budgeting initiatives for self -performed low -rise and mid -rise residential communities in southern Ontario. You will manage relationships with all subtrades, material suppliers, external consultants and internal design, development, and construction teams throughout the pre -construction process. You will be the lead estimator from start to finish on all residential housing developments in the GTA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES <

· The Senior Estimator is responsible for the preparation of estimates for ongoing development projects that occur throughout the year including bid or budget preparation, design/build and hard -bid estimates.
<

/p>

· Assist in the creation/maintenance of an estimating system for the Low/Mid Rise Division that is complimentary to the existing estimating system.
<

/p>

· Co -ordinate invitations to subcontractors and suppliers to bid on projects.
<

/p>

· Work closely with Architects and other professionals.
<

/p>

· Complete estimate pricing and conduct price analyses.
<

/p>

· Complete budget and final cost estimates.
<

/p>

· Solicit and award some major subtrades to coordinate the work and implement the tender packages and subcontract awards in accordance with company standard policies.
