Description Our Story & Purpose:

We’re Vancity, a member-owned credit union built on the principles of inclusion and social justice. Since 1946, our relentless commitment to these values has helped us challenge the status quo and break down barriers. We’ve made bold commitments to become net-zero by 2040 across all mortgages and loans, and we’re actively pursuing strategies in Indigenous banking and financial resilience for our members.

Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a

Lead Full-Stack GenAI Engineer , you will lead the hands-on delivery of secure Generative AI and agentic AI solutions from discovery and prototype through production deployment, stabilization, and ongoing support. You will build and scale enterprise-grade applications, APIs, RAG pipelines, agent workflows, and up-to-date web applications while helping shape engineering best practices across the AI function. Working closely with business, technology, data, and AI teams, you will transform ambiguous problems into practical solutions that deliver measurable value.

You will remain a substantial hands-on individual contributor, personally writing, reviewing, integrating, deploying, and troubleshooting production code and technical assets. You will also turn recurring delivery needs into secure, reusable engineering capabilities that make future AI solutions faster, safer, and more consistent to implement and operate. We are seeking a highly technical and results-oriented engineer with deep expertise in full-stack development, cloud platforms, AI technologies, and software engineering leadership.
