What is the Opportunity? As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

What You'll Do Here

Lead the Superintendents, Project Coordinators,



General Foremen and Subject Matter Experts executing on shift.

Monitor plans/schedules and identify risks and issues.

Interface with OPG Work Coordinator and Construction Oversight.

Create collaboration and partnering with OPG, Engineering, Quality, and the OCC.

Responsible to communicate directly to the OCC Manager to elevate issues, as per escalation protocol, and report on progress.

Primary responsibility for the implementation and enforcement of safety, quality and human performance programs.

Ensure that Joint Venture and Client policies and project procedures are being adhered to and followed by project personnel.

Utilize project master schedule, detailed look-ahead schedules and plans for trade superintendent, general foreman and subcontractor use.

Monitor and manage risks, develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budget are in jeopardy.

Assume responsibility for productivity of direct hire trade labour and subcontractors, efficient use of materials and tools and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.

Ensure project is constructed in compliance with drawings, specifications, Field Work Packages (FWPs), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and project schedule and budget.

Interface with client representatives, design engineers, consultants, other contractors, etc.

Ensure project is constructed in accordance with QA Programs and project quality.
