Python Engineer to support client in investment management industry
- 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and backend services.
- Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience working with AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, or similar).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with Git, source control management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience writing unit tests and supporting application reliability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within Agile development teams. Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience building microservices and event-driven applications.
- Knowledge of financial services or capital markets environments.
- Exposure to Murex or other enterprise financial platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling. 6 Month Contract + Extension 4 Days onsite, GTA 37.5hrs / Week Required Skills & Experience
