The School Crossing Guard will assist and supervise school-age children with crossing roads in various locations of the municipality in a secure and professional manner.

We also analyze traffic data, implement calming measures, and develop policies that support active transportation and a connected, sustainable network.

Remain aware of traffic situationsDisplay crossing sign and use caution while guiding children and families safely across roadwaysEnsure the safety of children crossing streets and intersectionsMaintain a pleasant, courteous and helpful attitude toward children, their guardians and the general publicModel and reinforce proper behaviour and adherence to safety rulesReport dangerous driving, crossing practices or issues to the appropriate authorities
