The primary purpose of this position is to work as an active member of the nursing team to provide a high standard of practical nursing care to patients in the hemodialysis unit at Charles S Curtis Memorial Hospital. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN ) is responsible for maintaining qualified and organizational standards and practice in accordance with the NLHS Model of Nursing Clinical Practice and reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Graduation from an approved diploma level Licensed Practical Nurse program;

- Current licensure from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL);




- 1 year current acute care nursing experience preferred;
- Incenter Hemodialysis Education or equivalent education or willingness to obtain (within time frame designated by the employer);
- Organizes, plans, implements and evaluates the plan of care for assigned clients;
- Maintains competency in technological and clinical skills to provide incenter hemodialysis in a satellite unit;
- Works with individuals and colleagues in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating client-focused care in hemodialysis and ambulatory care programs;
