About The OpportunityOur client, a growing organization in the manufacturing and defense sector, is seeking a Finance Manager for an existing vacancy within its growing Canadian operations.The Finance Manager will oversee the financial accounting function for the Canadian business while acting as a key financial partner to the local leadership team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for financial reporting, compliance, cash flow, financial controls and continuous improvement.Duties include but are not limited to:Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and supporting financial schedulesProvide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions and Canadian operationsMaintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standardsManage the financial components of the ERP system, including ledgers, chart of accounts, financial calendars, period/year-end rollovers and financial mappingsAssist with the preparation of statutory accounts in conjunction with external accountantsPresent financial results during monthly business reviews and other management meetings as requiredSupport annual and half-year financial auditsManage statutory tax compliance,



including required filings and paymentsLiaise with the Finance team regarding shared services and Canadian financial requirementsManage accounts receivable/debtor positions and cash flowComplete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are resolved promptlyPartner with the Canadian team to maintain effective financial management and controlsReview financial processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectivenessRecommend and support the implementation of process improvementsIdentify opportunities to leverage ERP functionality and automationAbout YouThe successful candidate will have the following:CPA5+ years of financial management experience within a small to medium-sized manufacturing environmentExperience within the defense industry would be considered a strong assetStrong financial accounting, reporting and compliance knowledgeExperience working with ERP systems, Microsoft Office and financial reporting toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both operational and senior leadership teamsMust currently hold or be able to obtain Canadian security clearance, Secret PreferredAbout the JobSalary: $100,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on experienceHybrid work environmentMedical and dental perks from day one20 days of annual vacationHalf-day FridaysRRSP matching programFree onsite parking#J-18808-Ljbffr
