At PatchNPaint, we repair walls and ceilings, then repaint them: after water damage, a leak, or a visit from a plumber or an electrician. Often in a single day: one client, one job. We're looking for a tradesperson whose finish is invisible.

- Assess the repair at the client's home and price it in the app
- Repair drywall after water damage, a leak, a plumber or an electrician: open up, remove what's damaged, insulate if needed, install ½" or 5/8" drywall
- Tape and mud the joints, do dust-free sanding and apply primer
- Match the colour and paint the repair, the room or the ceiling
- The extras: mouldings, drywall boxing to hide a duct, removing a textured ("popcorn") ceiling
- Protect the space, handle the waste and leave the place clean, in houses and condos alike

The PatchNPaint division

Its promise to clients: the same specialist repairs the drywall and does the painting. That specialist is you.

Before

The client had water damage. You go take a look, assess how much needs to be opened up and send your quote from the app.

In the morning

You protect the floor and the furniture, then you open the drywall and remove what was damaged.

Next

Insulation if needed, current drywall, joints. You work clean.

Sanding

Dust-free sanding, then primer. That's what makes the repair disappear.

Painting

You match the colour and paint the repair, or the whole room if that's what was sold.

On your way out

You pick up your waste and take your photos in the app. You create your invoice on site in the Beau-frère à louer app and hand it to the client.

Earnings tied to your work

50% paid by the employer, after 3 months.

Employee status

With Beau-frère à louer, under a clear employment contract. A contractor's freedom without the risks of running a business.

You plan your week in the app and price the job yourself at the client's home.

Your files, quotes, invoices, pay history and a built-in phone, without giving out your personal number.

You create your quote and your invoice on site in the Beau-frère à louer app and hand it to the client. The office handles the follow-up.

Who it's for

You're the right person if…

- You have several years in the trade in plastering, drywall taping or painting
- Your finish is invisible: that's your pride
- You're clean and careful in people's homes
- You know how to price a job and present it honestly to the client
- You're independent, organized and you keep your commitments
- You have your own tools, ideally a sander with a vacuum, and a valid driver's licence

A plus, not a requirement.

It isn't required for an owner who lives in their home. It is required for some work: a condo or its common areas, a rental unit. If you have it, let us know.
