DescriptionScope for the position:To oversee all aspects of Packaging to improve efficiencies, maintain quality and safe work environment for all employees.Responsible for food safety within their scope of workDuties and Responsibilities:Perform basic supervisory duties as directed by Production SupervisorResponsible for training new employeesComplete all Batch Production Records (BPR) before submitting to Quality ControlAssists employees in troubleshooting and solving problems in the production lineRecommends and supports implementations to improve efficienciesBasic troubleshooting of equipment in the production lineComply with safety, GMP and SQF requirementsPerform other duties as assigned.RequirementsRequired qualifications, education, experience, training, skills, background, certifications:Highschool Diploma1-2 years of experience, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry1-2 years of experience working in a HACCP or food safety environment1-2 years of basic mechanical knowledge of how to troubleshoot machinery issues and concernsBasic computer skills: Excel, Word, Oracle preferredStrong team leadershipAbility to multi-task in a fast paced and ever-changing workplace
