About The Department
CALS College Operations, Research Extension ( CORE ) Support serves as the centralized financial oversight unit for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, providing leadership for Business Services, Contracts and Grants, and Budget and Planning functions. Within this business operations structure, the Business Services unit is responsible for centralized accounting operations ensuring the integrity, consistency, and compliance of financial activity across all college departments, centers, and programs. Within CALS , “systems” refers to interdisciplinary groupings of departments, centers,



and programs designed to support integrated teaching, research, extension, and operational collaboration across traditional academic boundaries. In financial operations roles, this structure provides the framework for managing and supporting financial activity across multiple units and funding sources.
