We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join an engineering organization in Etobicoke, Ontario, on a long-term contract. The role supports payroll operations, employee data integrity, and reporting in a collaborative technical environment.

Responsibilities

- Process payroll accurately and on schedule while following company policies, payroll legislation, and applicable collective agreement requirements.
- Review bi-weekly and monthly payroll submissions, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before finalization.
- Maintain employee payroll and advantages information in payroll and HR systems.
- Prepare recurring payroll reports, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Administer deductions, taxable benefits, and related adjustments.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and business partners.
- Assist with payroll audits, remittances, and year-end activities.
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and payroll system activities.
