Support hands-on arboriculture education at Olds College with tree climbing, chainsaw operation, and student assistance in classroom and lab settings.

This full-time, temporary Instructional Assistant supports instructors and students across Arboriculture Programs. The work may also include Horticulture and Turfgrass Management courses. You will prepare materials, assist with labs, maintain study resources, and support daily course activities without providing instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist instructors and students during hands-on arboriculture courses
- Order supplies and update inventory for assigned classes
- Prepare materials and coordinate laboratory setup and takedown
- Develop lab guides and maintain student study materials
- Support assessments,



events, teams, and course communications

Requirements:

- Relevant post-secondary training and three years industry experience
- Chainsaw operation, maintenance, and tree-felling protocol aptitude
- Knowledge of climbing systems, pruning, tree biology, and risk assessment
- Chipper and stump grinder operation experience
- Valid driver's licence and current offence-free criminal reference check
