Support complex mental health care at Carewest’s Bridgeland Riverside Care Centre through therapeutic communication and behavioural support. Regular full-time and part-time lines are available.

As a Health Care Aide, you will support adults with complex mental health conditions, addictions, cognitive impairments, and behavioural challenges. Care is delivered in secure and non-secure environments using person-centred, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction approaches. You will help promote stability, safety, independence, rehabilitation, engagement, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support clients with complex psychosocial and mental health needs
- Establish therapeutic and skilled client relationships
- Provide behavioural support in continuing care environments




- Assist with frequent client lifting, transfers, and repositioning
- Support individual care goals and meaningful engagement

Requirements:

- Grade 12 graduation
- Health Care Aide certification or equivalent
- Active current registration with CLHA
- Effective English reading, writing, and communication skills
- Knowledge of mental health, addictions, and responsive behaviours considered an asset
