Chances Castlegar seeks an experienced Line Cook for its kitchen team. The successful candidate prepares consistent, quality food while working independently on a busy line. Previous line cook or commercial kitchen experience is required, alongside knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, portion control, and skilled kitchen service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare menu items using established recipes and portion standards
- Organize, stock, and manage an assigned kitchen station
- Maintain food quality, presentation, timing, and consistency
- Store, date, rotate,



and monitor ingredient freshness
- Coordinate orders and maintain sanitary workstations

Requirements:

- Previous line cook or commercial kitchen experience required
- Busy restaurant, pub, gaming, or hospitality experience is an asset
- Understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety
- FoodSafe certification is an asset
- Must be 19 and eligible for GPEB criminal record clearance
