Support prescribed exercise programs and activities of daily living as an Occupational Therapy Assistant with VHA Home HealthCare. Provide client-centred care in community settings.

VHA Home HealthCare provides care in homes, schools, retirement homes, and other community settings across Ontario. In this role, you will assist with mobility, positioning, motor activities, and self-care needs. You will educate clients and families, monitor health changes, and document care. The position also contributes to program planning and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with prescribed exercises and activities of daily living training
- Supervise walking, transfers, stairs, mobility, and positioning
- Support gross motor, fine motor, and balance activities




- Educate families about physical, functional, and self-care needs
- Monitor health changes and report findings to therapists

Requirements:

- Apply proper body mechanics during client mobility assistance
- Document client records and collect required data
- Participate in program planning and quality improvement
- Follow qualified practice and safe client care standards
- Use required personal protective equipment and infection controls
