Wages: $52,000 per annum (Equivalent to $30.00 per hour based on 30-44 hour a week)

The TCS Group is a reputable provider of scaffolding solutions, steel pre-engineered buildings and structural steel and miscellaneous metals in the construction industry.

With 2 locations including a head office in Newmarket Ontario, the TCS Group has been providing services since 2010 and is proudly recognized as a provider of custom scaffolding and structural steel solutions on job sites across the region.

The TCS Group is currently looking for 2 Structural Metal Construction Workers to join their team based out of East Gwillimbury Ontario. The Operators will be mainly responsible to assemble, fit and install steel or other metal components for buildings and scaffold systems on construction job sites.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Study engineering drawings and blueprints, determine the materials required, and plan the sequence of tasks to assemble metal most efficiently on job sites
- Construct patterns and templates as guides for layouts
- Install fabricated components on construction job sites. This includes scaffolding and pre-engineered building systems.
- Lay out reference points and patterns on heavy metal according to specifications
- Rig, hoist and move materials on worksites
- Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits using bolting, riveting or other methods
- Set up and operate various heavy-duty metal-working machines such as shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form and assemble heavy-metal components

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

- Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program in structural steel, or over 3 years of work experience in the trade is required
- Work independently without close supervision
- Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work
- Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
