As a Licensed Technician I, you will service motor truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision. The position requires preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and component troubleshooting. Penske provides OEM training, technical resources, and equipment from various suppliers and dealerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance services across truck and trailer equipment
- Diagnose malfunctions using computers, analyzers, charts, and gauges
- Repair engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems
- Inspect brakes, steering, bearings, guards,
bolts, and safety devices
- Road test vehicles and document warrantable repairs accurately
Requirements:
- Five or more years maintaining tractor trailers
- Provincial license such as Red Seal or 310T
- Current Class D or Class 3 license with air brakes
- Proficiency with welding, diagnostic, hand, and power tools
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
